Description-

  • Book Two in the Magnificent Dune Chronicles—the Bestselling Science Fiction Adventure of All Time
Dune Messiah continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known—and feared—as the man christened Muad'Dib. As Emperor of the Known Universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremens, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne—and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence.

And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family's dynasty...

Reviews-

  • Publisher's Weekly

    November 26, 2007
In 1965 Frank Herbert published Dune
. After it was heralded as a masterpiece of science fiction, he wrote the briefer Dune Messiah
in 1969, concentrating eponymously on Paul Atreides, and then, sensing the sales potential, added sequels. They were continued by his son, culminating in the just published finale, Sandworms of Dune
. Now, 38 years after its publication, four narrators capture Dune Messiah
on discs, while listeners, with no glossary, try to recall the meaning of its esoteric nomenclature. The audio gets off to a lively start as the book opens with nearly all conversation, playing up the camaraderie between the narrators who have partnered on several other readings of classic sci-fi novels. While the cast works well together, some of the male narrators emphasize a stately dullness. Kellgren, the sole feminine voice, supplies real emotion and a true sense of awe.

  • DOGO Books teambella - This action packed book is a book you’ll never want to put down. Frank Herbert (the author) created a world that is so unimaginable. He made the impossible possible. He created Dune. Oh, what an amazing series it is. He explains every detail so that you could almost jump in to the book and live there. The book is based on Emperor Paul. Of course he’s no normal emperor. Paul lives millions of years in the future. Which means his world is NOTHING like our world today. I don’t want to tell you to much but Paul, has a special ability only we can dream of. Read this book to find out ;). This is just one book of the amazing six. All the books are just as amazing as this one. If you’ve read Lord of the rings and Harry Potter and liked it then I almost grantee you’ll love Dune. There is only one drawback. This book is at an adult level of reading. It has many complicated words and sometimes, rarely uses foul language. Ask your Mom before reading this adult novel. This book is amazing and I think you just might love it! It’s a book that will leave you imagining the future!
